Notting Hill Genesis (NHG) is one of London’s leading housing associations employing over 2,000 people.  We have been working to improve our IT infrastructure across the business and we are starting an exciting journey of moving our Sql Database estate to Microsoft Azure.

We are looking for Database Administrator to work with us on this journey. You’ll have strong leadership skills, helping to support the business with innovative solutions to problems, as well as lead the delivery of technical solutions for our database environment. On a day to day basis you will work on delivering IT projects to improve services as well as providing a lead for third line database management and support of the database services.

Top-quality project management skills are a must. In this role you will be expected to manage conflicting priorities within a matrix environment. Your business understanding and ability to manage relationships within IT and across departments will be outstanding

Excellent technical and problem-solving skills are a must. You will have experience of working in complex environments and the ability to work methodically through any issues that arise. You must have an ITIL Foundation as a minimum, as well as a good working knowledge of a Project Management Framework. Technically we’re looking experience of supporting large scale SQLServer environments and associated database support tools, ideally in public cloud environments. It would be desirable if you could also demonstrate experience in support Oracle environments as well.

You will engage regularly with the wider business and suppliers, as well as provide leadership on database issues to the wider technical team, so we expect you to be a strong communicator with a positive attitude who can drive cultural change and bring others along with you.

If the idea of being part of a team which is committed to making a real impact is of interest, then we’d love to hear from you!

In return we offer a competitive salary, generous annual leave, health cash plan, season ticket loan, life assurance and a generous contributory pension offer as well as other benefits packages.
